Palermo

Sicilia! The land of amazing food, drink and cannoles! Along with beautiful landscapes that go perfectly with a glass (or bottle) of wine. It was Erin's homeland - 3 generations ago at least. We stayed in Palermo, the capital of Sicily, for 3 days. We ate the most amazing paninis, pasta and pizza every day we were there without an ounce of guilt. The Mediterranean felt like bathwater and the beach nor the city were littered with tourists nor panhandlers. We wish we stayed longer. If I were to go again, I'd make sure I'd go at least 7-10 days to truly soak in the Sicilian sun and atmosphere, because we couldn't get enough of it! The people were also some of the friendliest that we encountered in the Med.
